Graham Lister is a painter and researcher based in Glasgow, Scotland. In 2016, he completed a Practice-based PhD at the Glasgow School of Art. Within this extensive body of research, he focused on the use of painting as a methodological tool for exploring contemporary everyday experiences of space and place through examining surface materialities and barrier forms.

Prior to this, he studied at the University of Glasgow, gaining an MA(Hons) (Art History), and at Gray's School of Art, studying on the MFA programme. Since 2008, he has worked at the GSA, in the Painting and Printmaking department and in the Forum for Critical Inquiry. Graham exhibits across the UK and internationally.
